Hello friends,
Today’s post will be a little bit different and more festive than usual! This whole month will be festive so watch out! ๐ย If you don’t know, I love Christmas and I have seen a few of these tag posts going around so I thought I would hop on board! Here we go ๐
Q1. What is your favourite Christmas movie?
Well I will be honest, it is definitely tough just picking one, but if I have to it would be National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. I also absolutely love The Grinch and Elf (also Home Alone!) as well as many other Christmas movies, but this question only lets me choose one!
Q2. Do you open your presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
I have always opened my presents Christmas morning! We never even open one present on Christmas Eve. However, I think my boyfriend and I might start the tradition to open one small gift on Christmas Eve .. mostly because he is very impatient haha
Q3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?ย
One of my favourite Christmas memories would have to be when I was younger, my dad would always read the book The Night Before Christmas to my sister and I before we went to bed on Christmas Eve. I think he read it to us till we were going off to university! haha
Q4. Favourite festive food?ย
I definitely have to say the Christmas sweets. I love the dinner food don’t get me wrong, but hot chocolate and ginger cookies have always had a sweet spot (haha get it?) with me at Christmas because it brings back so many memories. My mom and I would always go get hot chocolate (well she would get a coffee ..) go look at all the Christmas lights!
Q5. Favourite Christmas gift?ย
Hands down, 100% my favourite gift ever would have to be the early one my parents got me this year. It is a new lens for my camera! 18-400 mm lens! I am so excited to use it and share the pictures with all of you!
Q6. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Yes for sure I do! We always watched National lampoons Christmas Vacation together in front of the fire place with the puppies! And when we were younger, like I said my dad would read The Night Before Christmas to us and we would put out cookies for Santa. Now though, I won’t be home for Christmas, so new traditions may start this year! ๐
Q7. Favourite Christmas scent?
Not quite sure what this one means? But I really enjoy the smell of freshly baked cookies coming out of the oven! Especially after walking in out of the cold! Or the smell when you bring a freshly cut Christmas tree into the house!
Q8. What tops your tree?
Well when I was little we had a big Santa that was our tree topper, but then when I was probably like 12 we got a very beautiful light up angel! Now I am not living at home any more so this is my first Christmas with my own tree, and we have a light up star as our tree topper… it was a decently cheap price at Walmartย #budgetChristmas
Q9. What is the best part about Christmas for you?
Well if you know me at all, you know I absolutely love Christmas decorations especially lights! Indoor or outdoor everything has to be decorated! So the best part for me is when I drive around and see every ones lights and decorations. It gets me in the Christmas spirit ๐
Well that is all I have for you guys today! Let me know if you enjoyed this tag and if there are any other ones you want me to do! Feel free to answer these questions in the comments below, or if you have a blog I now tag all of you to answer them in a post and leave the link in the comments!
Until next time,
xoxo
Q9. What is the best part about Christmas for you?
Laying in bed in the early morning, around 5am, trying through telepathy, to will my daughters to wake up so Christmas Day could begin. This is my first Christmas without my girls home so I have to say I’m not really feeling the joys of the holidays yet. ๐ข I really loved this blog.

Very nice blog post. It’s great reading about your wonderful memories. It’s always nice to hear happy Christmas stories. By the way, as I have lived in the far north of Canada for many decades I have had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with Santa himself (lives close by -lol) and I know he has a strict policy about no presents being opened before christmas morning. ๐ ๐ป

Iโll pass the message on to the boyfriend so Santa keeps him on the nice list ๐ ๐ป

Wonderful! My favorite Christmas movie is also Christmas Vacation, and we always watch it on Christmas Eve. I have seen it so many times that I can say many of the lines, “Margo! I don’t know why the carpet is all wet.” ๐๐ “Can I take something out for you?” “Squirrel!” I love it. Thanks for the post.

We open presents Christmas morning as well, but we get our Christmas pajamas the night before, which is sort of a gift. Fun blog post!

Q3: Fav Memory–A few years ago, when I was younger and blind to the trouble that would come to my family, I remember looking past the faces and food of the dinner table to the window. Through my grandparents’ maroon curtains, I saw snow drifting down, gracing our Christmas Eve. Where I live, White Christmases are far too rare. And at that age, there was nothing more I could ask for. Thanks for the blog! ๐
