Hello friends,
Today will be the first, of many, pictures of the week! It is a new idea I wanted to test out and see how it does. I will be posting a new picture every Friday in which I took the previous week. It will probably be my favourite picture from that week, or one that I think maybe tells a story or something!
I would like you all to comment on it what you think I was thinking about when I was in action capturing the picture! These thoughts can be serious or something comical – I love comical thoughts (most of mine are haha) Also, if you can share pictures in the comments feel free to do so of your picture of the week! Or even share a link to your personal blog where we can see your picture of the week!
So here it is, my first picture of the week – enjoy!

P.S. It is way harder than you think picking just one!
Let me know if you like this idea 🙂
Until next time,
xoxo
I love this idea. You should definitely keep it up. And agreed – it’s always hard to pick just one.
My guess is that you’re thinking of how fast the summer flew by and how the leaves are already changing colour. And it’s one of these things where the fall leaves seem to just change colour in the blink of an eye. …Or at least that’s what I’m thinking about when I saw this picture. Haha.

Totally! Summer always flies by haha no matter what and all of a sudden the leaves are red, yellow & orange and then they are gone!
Thanks for the comment! 🙂

This is a great idea! Your though, “fall isn’t around the corner, fall is here.”

I love the vividness of this. We don’t much get autumn colors like this in my area. Usually goes from green to brown and back again. This is gorgeous.

When I lived in Northern Alberta we did not get much fall colours either. Now that I have moved to southern Ontario I get to experience all of the beautiful colours! haha more fall pictures to come once more of the leaves have changed ❤
Thank you!

That is a super idea. Very challenging to force yourself to do this, and very admirable.
As for what you were thinking, hell that’s tough. But I have two ideas. Perhaps the deep red leaf mat have put you in the mood for fall. The second idea will be in a second comment.

I think that fall was on your mind, but this goes deeper. Maybe you were intrigued by the contrasts and textures that are in your composition. And this is an extreme close-up. So maybe you were experimenting with your lens’ capabilities, or perhaps working with the depth of field and how the out of focus background pulls your eye to the red leaf. Am I close?

You are close! We actually talked about depth of field today in photography class haha I love playing around with my lens and pushing it to see what kind of depths I can get with getting a sharp focus as well. Nicely dissected answer 👍

I also love seeing what people’s first thoughts are on my pictures. Like what comes into their mind when they saw the red leaf

I love that you ask for interaction in your blog. It’s cool fun to have these conversations. I feel like I get to know the “real” you that way. Thanks so much.
