May 2020 Recap

Hello friends,

Well May has been busier than the past few months that is for sure. Work has started to pick up back into full time again, which is a huge adjustment honestly after being part time/not working for the last two months. Though I am super happy to be back in the swing of things, it obviously takes a toll on your energy and free time, especially when you go from doing nothing to working in overtime. If you guys are in the same situation, how are you coping with it?

I have also moved this month! Woo exciting – fresh place for a fresh start. Now, I am not a fan of moving or packing, but there is something satisfying about being able to unpack all of your belongings in a new place and reorganize everything. Just gives me a sense of a clean slate. I even hung up little lights around the tv/couch area to make it feel all cozy – like my own little home for now. Little Miss Nugget is loving the new house I feel. I have two roommates and she gets along so well with both of them. The yard is completely fenced in so she can do her zoomies (aka running very very fast in circles around the yard). Although, she is still weary of the new shower… her whole first year of life I had a glass walk-in shower so she could see me while I was in there. This place has a shower/tub combo therefore making it really hard for her to understand where I go when I am behind the curtain. Currently every time I shower she ends up with a wet head from trying to see behind the curtain. It is pretty darn cute I must say.

Also, can we talk about this weather?! It has been beautiful here! It is only the end of May and I already have quite the tan going. It is a multicolour tan though – if you know me, you would know that I do not tan evenly. My arms are always so dark and then the rest of my body probably has 5 other shades going on at all times. Every year it is my goal to have a beautiful even tan, but to this day it has never happened! This year I already have great short and sock tan lines – woo every girls dream.

I just wanted to check in and let you guys know where I have been and what I have been up to. I will be resuming regular posting now that I am settled into the new place and working full time is the norm again. How have you all been doing? Any life updates?

Until next time,

xoxo

  1. Well Covid-19 has turned the world upside down. Presently, I’m staying at my mother’s camp till I can have my house built in 2021. It may sound crazy, but no thanks ‘ tiny home ‘. If there is one thing I have learnt it’s that I need space. Love the hubby dearly but ā€¦ā€¦ even he will agree that he is no longer trying to shrink down the space in the home we build next year. LOL
